The three-day clinic Heike gave at the Christiane Noelting Dressage Center in Vacaville this weekend was very well attended with 12 participants. Besides, about 100 spectators were able to watch everything very well in fine weather and were also provided with a lot of information and programme by the sponsors of this clinic, namely Schleese Saddlery, Inspiritus Equine (chiropractic and acupuncture), and Elk Grove Milling (feed).


	Training

The group of riders consisted of amateurs as well as pros, ranging from level 3 (about M in Germany) to Grand Prix. Heike laid great emphasis on a good bend of the horses on both hands, on exercise, half halts, and fluent transitions – for an even better collection. Clinic in Australia

Boneo Park Equestrian Centre, situated a bit outside Melbourne on the Mornington peninsula, is the name of the riding premises of Australian Grand-Prix-rider Fiona McNaught. Here Heike gave a four-day-clinic in cooperation with the Peter Horobin Saddlery, Australian Saddlefit4Life-Partner, and the Boneo ParkEquestrian Centre. The group consisted of about 15 participants with levels M to Grand Prix. Some of them were already very experienced horse-and-rider-combinations, others hopeful newcomers with very talented horses.

For the last evening, the "Masterclass-Evening", the organizers had come up with something very special. Heike got into the saddle herself and presented "Byalee Magic", a young Grand Prix-horse owned by John Taylor und Kylie Riddell. But she didn't just ride the dark bay but showed a freestyle to the origi-nal music of her Olympic freestyle in HongKong. Melodies of the "Golden Sixties" were the perfect background

for an absolutely successful perfor-mance. The audience was delighted.

"The interest, the encouragement, and the demonstrated will to learn as much as possible were extremely strong here. Many spectators came from far away to watch the clinic and to attend the Masterclass-Evening. The grounds are gorgeous and all I can say is that I would just love to make this clinic an inherent part of my schedule for the years to come", so Heike.

Heike also found some time for sightseeing. In the National Park nearby she got the chance to take a closer look at some kangaroos.

First Show in 2010

American dressage rider Lyndon Rife organizes a clinic with Heike for the second time, this time on his new grounds in Pilot Point, Texas.

With Quantico Heike travelled to the tournament "on the doorstep", to Verden. In the Grand Prix Quaddi gave a very satisfactory performance and came sixth. In the Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday morning, his first ever freestyle at all, he joined in beautifully and reached another sixth place. "Quaddi is extremely sensitive, has very little appetite in tournaments and doesn't really feel very well in unfamiliar surroundings – all this affects power and concentration, of course, especially in the second test. All these problems were much improved in Verden, however. He was nice and fresh on Sunday, fed well and wasn't nearly as nervous in the strange box as he can be. Therefore I'm very very pleased with him", said Heike.
